From June 28th to 29th, Professor Chen Haifeng, co-founder of Zhiyao Yuanchuang Medical Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the inaugural 2024 China Annual Meeting of the Chinese American Biomedical Technology Association (CBA). He delivered a special report on the theme of "New Targets and New Molecular Designs," engaging in in-depth exchanges and discussions with peers from academia and industry, and providing new insights into the development of AI in the field of protein drug design.

Professor Chen Haifeng presented on "AI-Based Protein Drug Design and GLP-1 Case Studies," detailing the novel protein backbone design algorithm GPDL and the novel protein sequence design algorithm GPD. Compared to international best practices, our unique algorithms offer higher speed and greater diversity. He also presented successful case studies designed using our models. In the field of peptide drug design, peptide drugs generated using our GPD algorithm have a 50% success rate (i.e., activity higher than current mainstream drugs on the market), a significant improvement compared to the success rate of manual design (1%).

After the meeting, industry partners had in-depth exchanges with Professor Chen to explore new directions in the development of peptide drug design, so that peptide drug design can be better integrated with practical applications and the market, and jointly contribute to the development of peptide drugs in China.
